VACCINE

Right, so this is just another one of these hypotheticals. I won't even go into the thing itself, but it's about what happens afterwards.
As of now, if you have a brain and take note of what goes on, you'll notice that rich people are still making money. The corporations are thriving while small businesses crash, and people are relying on the government. You can't travel, at least in the air or on public transport, without making some kind of (unnecessary) compromise to what's normal. Likewise, the whole lockdown thing's completely arbitrary. I have not once been "on lockdown" and it seems to just be big cities under these restrictions. Nothing odd about that... Anyways, my question now is what happens when there is a vaccine? My initial though it'll become mandatory, or you'll have to be tested all the time (despite it being a flawed test) to do anything in society.
Just on a side note, I want to quickly mention something about "science". Now, in science, and I'd know this having studied psychology at UVA, you don't "prove" anything, and nothing is certain. What you do, however, is create theories, or hypotheses, and gather data that will generally support them. That's all science is. Nothing is 100%, ever. It's not possible. Thus, I find it hilarious when people use the term "conspiracy theory". Whatever the origin, it simply is used to discredit people by making them out to be crazy, as if there's no way a certain thing is in fact not going to benefit the people. It's relevant with the vaccine, because whatever the outcome of the injection itself, it's quite possible that it won't stop there. Do you really think this distancing bullshit and mask wearing will just disappear? I don't think so. So what's even the point of a vaccine? Also, if the death rate is so low, why is even necessary? I haven't had a flu vaccine in years, and guess what, I haven't caught the fucking flu! Almost like this whole thing is a power grab, and the average person is so dead mentally that they're gullible enough to believe it all.
Getting back to my point. Compared to before, people are already way more fearful and isolated. That isn't up for debate. Also, the economy is screwed, which lowers people's mental states even further. Additional negativity everywhere, as well as seeing people masked up like a fucking horse or dog keeps you in a bad place. Like I said above, it's incredibly unlikely that any of these measures will just magically go away. I also don't trust a vaccine for a second, but that's just me. The key points to me are government reliance and disconnecting people. Getting people away from friends, other social groups, and jobs is planned, make no mistake. Trying to fear-monger people into not having holidays is in the same vein. I'm dead serious here. How exactly is it even measured, in terms of "cases" and "deaths"? I've been wondering this the entire time. I haven't been tested, and I don't know what the process is, but if you have millions or even billions worldwide not being tested, how can you accurately report numbers? They could be way higher or way lower, depending on the criteria of actually having the symptoms of the virus vs whatever test they do (involved antibodies, from what I've gathered). Again, the point here is it's completely arbitrary what shuts down and when, who's allowed to do what, and how people should handle various situations.
For instance, you see the cashless society stuff, and the whole "YOU MUST STAY HOME OR ELSE YOU'RE SELFISH AND A BAD PERSON", so let's take a look at what this means. You're being told to stay home. Who does this benefit? Online and delivery companies. Think about Zoom. Who the fuck used zoom before this? Just out of curiosity, I looked the company up, and guess what? It's owned by a Chinese guy and a pharmaceutical guy. How convenient. Here's an article from July talking about the growth. https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/02/tech/zoom-earnings-coronavirus/index.html
I'm working for UPS right now, and I wonder on a daily basis how much that company and Amazon make each day. It's gotta be in the millions, given that people are permanently at home and told not to do anything. I'm not even a holiday person like that, but holy shit this is ridiculous. Mind you, I may well have to work that day, which I couldn't care less about because I want as much money in as short a period as possible, but it's about priorities. Massive companies won't close. Walmart has been open the entire time. Every time I go in there I see people without masks. The "person at the door enforcing the mask rule" thing lasted about a month here. Yet, in the media they're still scaring people all hours of the day about it. Another massive "fuck you" to the people buying into all this is the birth stuff. I've mentioned the podcast(s) I listen to and they always talk about how stupid the rules are. For instance, husbands (or partners, who gives a fuck) aren't allowed to ultrasounds and what not, and have to wear a mask in the delivery room. I mean shit, some (many) women are told to give birth with the damn mask on. It's utterly shambolic, and I will say that people are stupid as fuck for acquiescing. Same thing with the holiday nonsense. You're told not to gather with your own flesh and blood, but millions of people go to stores to give their money to these corporations, as well as work for them during the week, amongst total strangers. The funniest thing with delivery, or maybe sad actually, is people wearing masks yet picking things up that have been touched by who the hell knows, as well as whatever's in the boxes. Like, if anything, we've always been taught to wash our hands and all that, yet here we are still touching items all day long. Makes no sense.
Who says the virus will end, and when is that meant to happen? Who's to say there won't be another virus that magically appears once this one starts to peter off? Exactly. I've heard of people wanting a vaccine so they can go to the football or concerts. As if it'll be that straightforward. Last thing is a quick point on the vaccine itself. It kinda fuels the "conspiracy" stuff when there's a vaccine for a novel virus and it's expected to become mandatory. The whole thing with vaccines is they take years to make correctly, supposedly, and even then are never 100% effective. It's beyond me how this many people are so eager to take it. Either it's rushed and will undoubtedly have side effects, or it was planned all along for this to happen. You decide which is worse.
The next article I think I'll do will be about the affects of all this that people aren't talking about. One I already have in mind is dating/relationships.
