Sport protests

I'll start this by saying the media is not your friend. Social media, these apps on everyone's phone, local news, national news. All of it is doing more harm than good.
It's funny, and I'm convinced more each day that the universe is in sync, because just yesterday I posted articles involving this very topic. This was before "King James" made the choice not to play NBA games that day and the other sports over here followed like sheep. Like I said, I don't watch news, so I'm not "up to date" with whatever these millionaire athletes are getting bent out of shape over this time.
In one of my articles I articulated my issue with these narratives always going around social media. Maybe some people don't realize this, but the media creates stories like this one to distract the masses. They're plugged into their little devices and TV's, and this "news" pops up everywhere. The only way to avoid it is unplugging. Now, when people become "aware" of these issues from mainstream/social media that energy is projected into the universe and everybody has to deal with the negative vibration associated with fear. I mean, it's the same thing with "the virus". Look how quickly people were herded into their homes and told to say there in the name of "safety".
That last point had me heading off topic, which I'd rather not do right now, so back to the protest thing. Basically, it's irrelevant whether these pampered athletes play sports or not. Americans went months without their precious NBA, and I'm confused why fans are even tuning in at this point. It's also convenient that the planet is literally collapsing with fires and hurricanes just in time for these sports to act like bastions of morality once again.

It's been a week or two since I wrote what was above the line. Sports here are back to normal, well, normal if you count no fans as that. As I was saying before, it is kinda crazy that MLB in particular began a season (minus 100 regular season games) without fans. I mean, it makes sense to finish seasons that were in progress, like the NBA and NHL, as the playoffs were 10 or so games away. To me, however, it clearly shows once again how little impact fans actually have that they started the baseball season under these conditions. Especially baseball, where in 1994 they literally didn't have playoffs due to a lockout, despite playing most of the regular season. Just something to thin about. I'm a Braves fan, but the whole no fans thing is way worse for baseball. Like, I've gotten used to not going to football in person, but baseball is objectively boring in comparison.
The other thing I wanted to touch on was a Twitter thing that happened a few days ago. Tyler Joseph, one of two main guys in the band twenty one pilots, made a "social media mistake" when he more or less trolled his fans. Teenagers with zero self esteem and irresponsible parents rely on these musicians to "save them" from their angst, despite it being entirely avoidable most of the time. Anyways, with the media narratives going on, he was "supposed" to say something about how he supports such and such "oppressed" group and "use his platform for change". Like I said, there is a massive, massive problem in society when these "entertainers" are deemed role models and sources of morality. They are no different than the school janitor or the HR receptionist. Stop putting this people on a damn pedestal and making them rich, FFS. I'd rather not go on a rant about race here, but this whole issue is partly why the black community has so far to go. Since the 60's niggas would rather watch sports, listen to hip hop, and do drugs than do something to benefit themselves and others. In fact, here's a 5+ hour lecture I listened to over the weekend about the topic:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9GvWUGnS3w ... It's about what I just said, as well as the historical roots of the issues.
Now, back to the 21 pilots thing. I cannot be the only one deeply bothered by this idea of kids being controlled by music and sports, to the point that they rely on their idols in these spaces to tell them what to do. That's what parents are for! I also mention the black community here because feminism and drugs have torn the community up for over 50 years, resulting in what we have today. Long story short, a disproportionate number of black men are in jail due to government policies and shit like the war or drugs, and women have been brainwashed to be whores and think they don't need men. This results in millions of directionless youth of all races. However, it's worse for blacks because fathers are less likely to be there, period, and we're more likely to be poor and ignorant. Those are facts. I won't even get into voting and politics, because that's a whole other shit show. Like I said in the first sentence, social media is a sham. It's people putting up a front of what they think other people want/need to see, rather than what they actually are. You get "canceled" or lose your job over some shit you say if it doesn't fall in line with the popular narrative. There's a term for that, and I think a guy with a mustache used it to start a movement that killed a bunch of people back in the day...
The protesting and political nonsense in sports is an extension of this. These people stand for whatever causes the people that pay them want them to. It's obvious with the China-NBA fiasco I mentioned, yet idiots still watch these dudes chuck a ball into a hoop. I won't be watching sports that pander, simply put, as a fan. I'll do it for work, but that's it. I haven't watched the NBA or NFL in years, and I don't miss either.
